Name: Insomniax.net TRIBES Mod.
Version: 0.9b (For TRIBES Version 1.7 and above)
Date: 1-23-2000
Author: Kevin Savage (*IX*Savage1)
Email: Savage1@insomniax.net
URL: http://www.insomniax.net/mods
Purpose: To Maintain Game Balance and Increase Complexity.
Also Increasing Intensity of Gameplay, with Teamwork.

Notes: This Mod Does NOT make changes to ANYTHING in Tribes\base.
This can be installed without harm to standard Tribes\base
games or any other mods. This Mod is NOT meant to be run
with IX-Admin. IX-Admin is Built into the Insomniax Mod.
IX-Admin is a by product of this mod. Combining them is
pointless, and could generate problems with the mod.

Thanks: To the Tribes Dev Team, and All those at Dynamix/Sierra that
make this game possible. I'd also like to thank them, and
specificly Tim Gift, for answering my emails with questions
about this or that, and taking bug reports. They seem to
truely care about what goes into the game. I admire them for
        that.
  		 Thanks.

I'd also like to thank *IX*LongBow and others that took the time
to test this or that whenever I asked "Hey, got a minute?".
Without that, I wouldn't have gotten nearly as much done.
		Thanks guys.

Known Bugs:
VARIOUS PROBLEMS OCCUR WHEN RUNNING THIS MOD WITH OTHER MODS.

When using next weapon, and previous weapon, when you
have no ammo for the "base" weapons, but you do for the
new mod weapons. You get a message "Mortar has no ammo".
It changes weapons fine though. I'll squash this one later.

When firing the vengeance, if your walking forward diring
the firing sequence. Sometimes the missiles will spawn
behind you and hit you in the back. Stand still! hehe.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Client Install: NONE.
Notes for Client Playing the mod. Weapons can be accessed
by Selecting "Next Weapon" or "Previous Weapon". There are
no Numbers assigned to the new weapons. (Default key is 'Q')
In order to bind the weapons and items you need to use(ItemName)
The Item Names for each item is listed with the items below.

Server Install:
	1. Unzip IXTribes09b.zip into default Tribes Dir.
(where tribes.exe resides - UNZIP WITH PATH INFORMATION)
	This means:

When installed The Files Should be here:
		Tribes\config\insomniax.cs
	 	Tribes\config\ixUserList.cs
		Tribes\insomniax\Readme.txt
		Tribes\insomniax\scripts.vol
		Tribes\insomniax\WhatsNew.txt
		Tribes\insomniax\WhatsOld.txt

Any Maps Included with this Mod should be here:
		Tribes\insomniax\missions

NOTE: If these files are not in these folders ..put them there.
IF THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME INSTALLING and you have the
insomniax.cs file already you don't need to unzip this
one. You can choose to add the new variables, or not.
The server will choose default values. Settings can be
changed during the game and are saved when the server
exits normally. If you want to save the config while
the game is active just execute the ixSave(); command
	      at the console.

	2. COMMAND LINE to run the mod.
Note: A command line is what you use to start
the game. for windows it's called a shortcut.
It's what you double click on to run the game.
If you have a Tribes Icon on your desktop,
right click it and select Properties. "Target"
is the command line. Don't email me asking what
it is, because I just told you. Thanks.

	 - Just add "-mod insomniax" to your current Server Command Line.
	   For Example:
		Running Normally.
			tribes.exe
		Running this Mod.
			tribes.exe -mod insomniax

	   BEFORE The -mod parameter.

		Running this Mod.

			infinitespawn *tribes +exec MyConfig -dedicated
		Running this Mod.
infinitespawn *tribes +exec MyConfig -mod insomniax -dedicated

returned to your base. The sniper gets +2 points.

--------------------------------------------
 Admin Additions.
--------------------------------------------

1. When an Objective is destroyed it is
displayed in the console. This is for
D&D games mainly. Log parsing programs
should have no problem picking it up.
It displays the Team objective destroyed,
   player name, and clientId.

--------------------------------------------
The Rocket Booster and Associated Changes
--------------------------------------------

1. Heavy and Medium armors now have seperate
Overheat tolerances. Its a lot harder to
   "fly" the Medium armor.

2. All Boosters now heat up faster, and cool
   slower.

3. Laser Rifle, and IX-2000 do a LOT of heat
damage when hitting the booster itself.
Otherwise, they do no heat damage at all.

   Laser Rifle:
does heat damage according to how much
damage is done. It can detonate a Medium
booster in one shot. And can bring a
Heavy booster up to about 90% heat.

   IX-2000:
does a set amount of heat damage. It also
can detonate a medium booster in one shot.
It brings the heavy up to about 80% heat.

3. Large adjustments to Heat damage done by
   all damage types. (Always tweaking)

4. If you by a booster, the only way its
going away is when it explodes. If you
drop it, die, or detonate. Its all the
same. The booster WILL explode. If you
drop it, it gets thrown in a random
direction. (This will be refined in the
   future)

--------------------------------------------
  Vengeance Missile System Changes
--------------------------------------------

1. Vengeance Locks much faster for player
   and vehicle targets.

2. The locking of a piloted vehicle is now
a lot easier, which is to say its now
   possible. Previously it would switch
from the pilot to the vehicle constantly
and keep resetting the lock time. It
should now be no problem to get a lock
   on piloted scouts and bombers.

--------------------------------------------
  EMP Effect Changes.
--------------------------------------------

1. EMP has a MUCH smaller explosion radius.
It is now 25 meters as opposed to 40.
Just for comparison, a mortar's blast
   radius is 20 meters.

2. When anyone is hit with an EMP they lose
ALL momentum. they simply stop where
   they are.

3. The Heat Sink now shields players from the
Energy recharge damage done by the EMP.
It will still take 100% of your energy,
but you don't have to wait 10 seconds to
   begin recharging.

--------------------------------------------
	Misc Changes and Fixes (0.9b)
--------------------------------------------

1. When dropping the Rocket Booster in Medium Armor.
It didn't unmount the thruster. No big deal really,
   but its fixed :)

2. When a Turret overheated someone's Rocket booster
it displayed a double death message. This has been
   fixed.

3. After detonating a Player with a Rocket Booster, the
weapon tey held would "float" in the air. This has been
   fixed.

4. After detonating someone up with the Mag the weapon they
held would "float" in the air. This has been fixed.

5. Chain Reaction Booster Detonations used to display a Message
that they were killed by a turret. This has been fixed.

6. The Vengeance wasn't warning the target being fired on.
   This has been corrected.

7. Fixed a few typos in the Admin options. - Thanks Dreamforge.

8. The Heavy armor now only holds 10 EMP grenades as opposed to
   15. These things are nasty now :)

9. The Mag Gun now pulls harde
