Please report all bugs/ideas to: snipers4life@hotmail.com Installation =----------= Installation is a breeze! Just unzip the scripts.vol into a NEW sub-directory of tribes NOT THE BASE DIRECTORY. And to run simply: (assuming you unziped it into x:xxx\tribes\s4lmod) x:xxx\tribes\tribes.exe -mod s4lmod Description =---------= Armor =---= Light Armor - The light armor is the basic armor of tribes. It can carry three weapons but not the mortar, nuke, grenade launcher, sniper rifle or fusion rifle. Scout Armor - The scout armor is the armor everyone spawns with, it is quick, light, and is relativly unharmed by sniper fire. It cannot carry most of the weapons, and can only carry the repair backpack. Sniper Armor - The sniper armor is fitted to be the perfect sniping equipment. It can hold a total of three weapons, any of the packs (although its recomended use is with the sniper rifle/energy pack), and is extreamly weak against mortars. Assault Armor - The assault armor is made for just that: a head on assault. slightly slower than the sniper armor, but better equiped to face one on one combat with a mortar weilding heavy. Its main weakness is the sniper damage. Medium Armor - The medium armor is the Tribes base medium armor. It has the same strengths and weakness' as the base medium armor except it takes much more damage from the sniper rifle. Heavy Armor - The heavy armor is the Tribes base heavy armor. It has the same strengths and weakness' as the base heavy armor except it takes much more damage from the sniper rifle. BattleStar Armor - The battlestar armor is a walking warship. It can hold every weapon except the sniper and laser rifles. This is the only armor capable of withstandind a direct hit from the nuke gun, also making it the only armor that can weild the powerful gun. This armor is EXTREAMLY slow, so lighter armors (excluding the heavy armor) can engage and disengage this armor mroe or less at will. This armor is extraordinarily powerful and can withstand almost everything, even the sniper rifle has little effect on this behemoth. Weapons =-----= Blaster - The blaster is basically the same as the Tribes base blaster except that it has been slightly toned down a bit, as to prevent the heavier armors from "sniping" their opponents with this little dandy. Chaingun - The chaingun is the same as the Tribes base chaingun. Plasmagun - The plasmagun is the same as the Tribes base plasmagun. Mortar - The mortar is the same as the Tribes base mortar. Nuke - This handy little weapon can only be weilded by the BattleStar armor, because of its powerful kick. THIS GUN WILL KILL ANY OPPONENT WITHIN TWO SHOTS! It has a minimal blast radius and can take out any enemy turret/sensor in one shot, even if the turret/sensor has its shields up at full. GrenadeLauncher - The grenade launcher is the same as the Tribes base grenadelauncher. RocketLauncher - The rocket launcher launches rockets. The blast radius is minimal, but the rockets themselves carry a large whallop. FusionRifle - The fusion rifle uses the same ammunition as the turrets, only toned down to a slight degree. This gun is used most often in conjunction with the plasma gun. LaserRifle - The laser rifle is the same as the Tribes base laser rifle. SniperRifle - The sniper rifle is a "laser rifle on steroids". The beam is almost impossible to trace, and it takes 10 seconds to reload (which means make your shot count because you cant switch weapons/fire another shot for 10 seconds). EnergyRifle - The energy rifle is the same as the Tribes base energy rifle. HeatLaser - This is a "jakked up version of the targeting laser". The heat laser will drain an enemys life, but will not drain his/her energy (making a getawway extreamly easy) Version History =-------------= 0.10b - Deleted EVERYTHING. Added Light and Sniper armors (male & female) Added sniper rifle and started coding netplay. 0.20b - Added the scout for male only. Made scout almost invincible to sniper fire. Made sniper rifle unique. 0.30b - Added scout for female and assault for male and female. Added the heat laser. Added Fusion Rifle. 0.40b - Netplay tweaks. Fixed heat laser crash bug. 0.50b - Netplay tweaks. Fixed Fusin Rifle sounds. 0.60b - Netplay tweaks. 0.70b - Netplay tweaks. Fix bug in sniper armor, sometimes blaster would get "stuck". Disabled scouts from piloting ships (too much lag(?)) 0.80b - Fixed Assault armor textures. Now uses medium armor + damage textures. 0.90b - Fixed Heat laser to do very little damage. Fixed heat laser so it is longer, straighter and thicker. 1.00b - Many bugs worked out. Netplay has been tuned up. 1.10b - Added two new weapons (rocket launcher and Nuke) Added new armor (battlestar armor) 1.20b - Fixed the blaster "bug".
